ANSI Z136.3 Laser Safety in Healthcare Facilities states that there shall be a designated Laser Safety Officer with operation of a Class IIIB and Class IV laser or laser system.
OSHA Federal regulations require that operation of Class IV lasers must be directly supervised by an individual such as a MLSO who is knowledgeable in laser safety.

The corresponding self-study student assessment offers students an in-depth review of course material and prepares them for the role as a Medical Laser Safety Officer.
Virtual Discussion
The material is reviewed with students during a half day learning session through the virtual classroom.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q & A!
The half day virtual review and discussion are offered once per month and attendance is required to receive full credit and be eligible to sit for the board exam and be credentialed as a Board Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer with the Board of Laser Safety.
